Stocking the Lake With Trout
This is an ongoing project and needs your input. Contact us to offer your support for this activity.
On September 21, 2000 the 3,000 Speckled Trout arrived at the lake. They were selectively placed in areas of the lake where there is appropriate habitat and spawning grounds, this did not include areas frequented by gray trout.
Good luck next year!

| The truck arrived an hour late after reportedly loosing fish on the way to the lake from Mt. Tremblant and having to return for more! | The fish were distributed by 5 teams in boats. More people showed up but were not needed. | The trout were transferred from the large holding tanks to plastic pails, then put into boats for rapid distribution. | This operation was coordinated by our past president, Brent Gilday. |
|
The trout were all lively and healthy. The herons and loons will do well in the coming years, not to mention the most avid of the fishers (?) who were all present and active in selecting the distribution points. Anyone needing a list of distribution points should contact Elmer Bates. |
